44th International Congress on Medieval Studies

The annual International Congress on Medieval Studies (shortform: ICMS) takes place from May 7th to May 10th 2009 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. There will be held a large number of sessions concerning the medieval studies. You can get detailed information about the event, the program, a map of the campus and much more on the web site of Western Michigan University, the venue of the congress. A review and any further information are mentioned here. I will visit the congress and report on my impressions about the event and about Kalamazoo, a city name that I never heared before. But it shall exist ;) . Lets just wait an see!

Literature about medieval german language and literature studies

There is lots of literature about the medieval german language and literature studies. Especially for the beginners it’s hardly possible to know, what literature is vitally important and what is advisable for the advanced studies. For a better orientation I have assembled a list of literature which represents my recommendation.
